How about this? Was in a store over the weekend that had the saying hanging on their wall. I did not purchase as I didn't like the frame and it did not look interchangeable!

I captured this last week while laying in bed recovering from a treatment. She flew off the bed when she heard grammy come in the house.

And then she waited behind the bedroom door for her.....

It is Well With My Soul

I had this blank canvas taking up real estate in my junk closet. I had been pinning printables with the words, "It is well with my soul."  I love that saying. I actually think it is an old hymm. The words tug at my ❤ and I think they are so meaningful.  I have been inspired by my friend Annie's friend who operates Gale Nation but her classes are an investment. So I decided to take to the canvas myself. I first wrote in pencil and colored it in in gold. I don't really like how it turned out but I have it hanging until I figure something else out!

But it sure helps when you have some.

Made it through experimental chemo #7.

Tough mentally this time. 

Looking forward to more days of cookies and ice cream (or not, says my waistline!)

A Great Find; Just not in KC!

I've been known to be tricked into believing something, specifically a store too good to be true. Many years ago, my Dad lead my siblings to encourage me to ask to go to a shoe store near Old Orchard outside of Chicago which he already knew was CLOSED. Imagine my face as we pulled up to a CLOSED shoe discount warehouse. 

Same face. New story.

Just before Christmas a friend of mine told me that her hairdresser told her Crate and Barrel had a great warehouse/outlet in North Kansas City that was worth checking out. I told my mom about it when she was visiting and we decided to go check it out. After all if you google it, this is what comes up. Has to be true, right?

We pulled into a warehouse district in NKC, near Chicken and Pickle and Cinderblock Brewery (next time I go to NKC it will be to drink!) and it was a bit confusing but we quickly found the address and on the door to the warehouse there was a statement about Crate & Barrel being down the block. However a sweet lady came to the door and pointed us in the right direction while I made some comment about wanting to see what they had for sale. The lady quickly corrected me. What is rumored to be a "Crate and Barrel warehouse/outlet" is really just a pick up location once you place an order. Insert huge frown. 

If somebody tells you KC has a Crate and Barrel Outlet don't believe them! It leads to a very sad non-shopping story like this.

But if you are traveling to Dallas or Chicago this summer, they both have GREAT Crate and Barrel Outlets.
