Cake Batter Cookies

Cake Batter Cookies are legit! And they don't turn out like a trainwreck. I'm thinking it is partly because they use a bit of prepared cake mix.  I know, for the love of prepared mixes, but it helps with the shape and form of these I think!

Wordless Wednesday

When you kind of want to hide from things, but really don't want to hide!
Leave it to my girl Ries for this reminder.
Days are flying by. I keep hoping SPRING will finally really act like SPRING.
I am anxious for the day when I have some time to put thoughts into the keyboard again.
Until then, back to work!

It's SPRING!

I don't think I've been more excited for the announcement of spring. Even with barely any snow, this has seemed like such a dreary winter! The rain all day yesterday didn't help. Here's to longer, sunny days and lots of pretty blooming flowers! Oh yah, and to the MGA Triple Crown Showdown! In under 9 weeks! Are you registered? If you are coming, help a sister out and REGISTER today!

Dog Stories

Apparently writing about dogs is not something new to me. My mom brought me this hilarious story I wrote in the 3rd grade for the school newspaper.  My 3rd grade teacher mailed the clipping of it to my parents recently. So funny. Such an imagination.  What it would be like to be in 3rd grade and have not a care in the world and be writing real life stories about dogs.......

There you have it! Happy Monday!

Bacon Parmesan Spaghetti Squash

I have a real love-hate relationship with spaghetti squash. I love how it tastes but the prep is enough to send me over a cliff! I wish I could find a place that sold it already outta the shell. Ha! Nonetheless, in an effort to eat some "pasta" with fewer carbs, I checked out this new recipe I found.

Delish!

Of course no bacon dish is complete without using Des Moines Bacon Company Bacon.
And I added some mini peppers to this dish for some more veggies.

Pinot's Pallette

It's been a lot time since I did a BYOW Painting Class, likely because of my history of drinking the paint water instead of my wine.  Kind of puts a damper on such festivities. Ha! I recently checked out Pinot's Palette for a Bachelorette Party.  I strayed from the group in what I painted but I figured at $40 a pop I should paint what I want.  Not sure it's anything I'd hang up inside but maybe the garage!

It was a fun night capped off by drinks & dinner at the Ainsworth in Leawood!
Congrats Megan!

Wordless Wednesday

4 out of 5 days I come home to this chair across the room in front of the door. Apparently Little Miss feels the need to barricade the door from the mailman.
