Doggie Fever

In the last month 4 doggies have come to play at my house. I totally have doggie fever. If only I wasn't gone so much and the breadwinner of my household we'd been on the prowl for one!  Friend Lyndsey and Steve's doggies came to play while their cousin Brandy worked in the yard!

This isn't a very clear picture but here are sweet Baxter (who is blind) and snoozing Hank hanging out! Love them! Excited to go with these sweet doggies and several of their dog friends and human friends to the upcoming Wayside Waifs fundraiser at Spin Pizza!

Monday Musings......

Life is not a matter of milestones but a matter of moments.

This week my kindergarten teacher taught me how to short sheet a bed.  Life long lessons I am still learning.....

Letting go does not mean you are giving up but rather accepting that there are things that cannot be.

I had a can of bright pink spray paint starring at me in the garage so I took to a folding chair. More to come on that. So exciting!

I had my first meeting for the church committee I'm on last week, I'm so excited on a new way to give back!

I got my big box of Fall Tastefully Simple supplies and products! Also very exciting and can't wait to share with everybody!

I ate ice cream with real "mint" in it last week. YUM, seriously YUM for this girl who doesn't like ice cream.

I accidentally hit a road block in my mama's bus last week. I think my gut muscles still hurt from laughing so hard. 

This is a very busy week and I've had a productive day so I best move along to the next task! Here's to hoping you have a great week and that you have fun holiday plans in the making!

Friday Food for Thought, Sunday Sound Off, Tuesday Thoughts

Well behind once again! The story of my life! It's not that I don't have much to say just have had little time to get it written out.

So, Kansas Congressman Kevin Yoder goes skinny dipping in the Sea of Galilee last year, never mind he's got his panties in a bunch over same sex marriage and the healthcare bill. Oh wait, he doesn't have pants on.....

I've got to say a thank you to some dear friends who have helped me in the last couple of weeks, massive tree branch on the roof, power washing the fence and deck, tackling the gum ball tree and my fabulous lawn boy who hauls away whatever may go down back here in this zoo! Thank you dear friends! I appreciate you more than you know!

The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything!

The Sermon at church last week was something we all need to hear. Sunday = the Sabbeth. Along with the Sermon was a book mark full of ideas on how to "slow down" on a Sunday. LOVED it!

Had a wonderful time at the Lake 2 weeks, ago, great drinks, great people, great food and best of all lots of sitting on a dock. Thanks C & M! Can't wait for next year!

We've summoned a GREAT committee for the 3rd Annual MGA Walk, Run and Roll and will meet for the first time next week. I couldn't be more excited! And we've already got a $1000 donation! How about that?!

As I look at my fall calendar I just have to say, I hope Mr. Suitcase is ready!

Every  day may not be good but there is something good every day!

To the Oklahoma High School who won't give the Valedictorian her diploma for using the word "hell" in her commencement speech. What century are you living in?

8 girls, 8 groupons, private room, oodles of wine, 801 fare = one of the best Saturday nights in a LONG time. So much fun! Thanks girls!

Friday Food for Thought

Friday Food for Thought it kind of turning into Sunday Sound off....At any rate it was a busy week and I finally have some down time.

I'm kind of tired of city living.

Countdown to the Lake = 4 days and then repeat in 2 weeks! How lucky am I?

Once again the dreaded August 1st has passed. I hate August 1st.  A high school friend passed away on August 1, 1998 in a car accident and my grandparents were tragically killed in a car accident on August 1, 2003.  I need to find a way to make August 1st a cheery day instead of a day of miserable memories. I'll work on that this year.

People surprise me at the most random times.

I went to the Gear warehouse sale this week. I was all pumped up because last year I got about 10 new articles of ISU clothing. Kind of disappointed this year although I did go on the last day of the sale.

Do not regret getting older, it's a privilege some do not get to have.

I accidentally punched myself in the face when pulling up my swimsuit this week. No joke. Dear lord, my nose is so sore that it brings me to tears to blow it and my front teeth- holy heck! Can barely wear my retainer they hurt so bad.  Remind me to never get in a fist fight.

I'm sad to report that I have given up on all my flowers and potted plants. They lived a short life this year but I just can't keep up!

Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate.

I wore a pair of jeans this week and I got out my pumpkin candle today. I guess it's fair to say that I am kind of excited for Fall.

Only in Missouri, yesterday I saw a chick laying in the backseat of a Ford Focus with her legs coming out the window which was rolled down on the other side. As well as on I-70 there was a hot pink bra in the middle of the interstate.

This week I've learned the excitement of a furry friend when you walk in the door. It's kind of fun.

Company

Besides having 2 GNO's this week at my house, I've had some extra company! Some furry friends! It's been very fun and VERY entertaining! We've still got the big furry friend for another week. He's keeping things very light hearted and amusing around here. And I'm pretty sure there are no longer rabbits living under my deck. Thank goodness!
